I love Rakestraw! Michael does an incredible job learning his customer's names and making recommendations. Hi enthusiasm for books is contagious--he adores reading brief passages to customers to give them a feel for a book and can even quote passages from memory. Rakestraw is one of the things that keeps me in Danville. I would never want to live in a community that did not have an independent bookstore and I can't imagine a better one than Rakestraw! Any book they don't have on the shelf they can order and have it in the store often by the next day. Who needs Amazon? Support this bookstore!
